Die gouge? Use the search box upper left of page. I think we seen this before.

Its raised basically like the number 1 or a rectangle if you will but with its edge in the dead center. And I'm searching as you suggested to see what comes up. If I take side shots so you can see its raised would that help?

So from the info that came up it would be a very nice concentric die gouge? But concentric is circular? So this having a 90 degree edge on it is there a different name for it?

I have a other coin with a concentric die gouge around half of the colar approximately from say 1245 straight down and then to the right towards the date at 1215 do any of these kinds of things have a value or just cool to have

I don't think that is a gouge, it's too perfect. I can't imagine any way it left the mint this way though. I'll be watching this thread! :)
