Nice coins. Those ANACS holders are quite attractive.

Hopefully end of this week, worst case beginning of next! Just haven't managed to find enough time to get pictures done.

Because of the Fall Frenzy and as I was able do put together 12 coins I just completed another submission. I'll keep you all updated on my submission. I wrote down what I think my grades are so we'll compare my results to the grades I get. These are mostly part of my long term project on IHC and flying eagles.I also had an 1883 V nickel and 2 W quarters that I sent in. I also selected conservation to see if it makes a difference!

Anacs received my coins on 12/2 and put them in the system on 12/8, my date expected back is in January 2021. Before I packed up and sent the coins I took a guess as to what I would grade them. So I'm going to put my grading skills to the test. This is my guess for each coin: Coin - My Grade -Anacs Grade IHC1865 AU53 1879 XF45 1890 AU58 1889 AU58/MS62 1883 MS62 1880 MS62 1860 AU50 1886 Type I VF35/XF40 Flying Eagle 1857 VF25 Barber 5 Cents 1883No Cent MS62 Quarter 2019 W MS62-64 2020 W MS52-64

Hey all, So I got my grades back from Anacs and lets see how I did: These were my expected grades and what Anacs gave me: IHC1865 AU53 - Anacs Graded AU 58 1879 XF45 - Anacs Graded VF 35 1890 AU58 - Anacs Graded AU 58 1889 AU58/MS62 - Anacs Graded AU 55 1883 MS62 - Anacs Graded MS 60 BRN 1880 MS62 - Anacs Graded AU 58 - Damaged 1860 AU50 - Anacs Graded VF - Damaged 1886 Type I VF35/XF40 - Anacs Graded XF 45 Flying Eagle 1857 VF25 - Anacs Graded VF- Scratch Cleaned Barber 5 Cents 1883No Cent MS62 - Anacs Graded AU 58 - Cleaned Quarter 2019 W MS62-64 - Anacs Graded AU 58 2020 W MS62-64 - Anacs Graded MS 66 I can agree with all except for the 2019 W, I was surprised about that one, I was expecting an MS grade and the 1857 and 1860. I got these locally and they were straight graded. Oh well, you live and learn. I'll probably pop out the details one and put them in my IHC album as they are nicer than what is in there now. As far as if its worth it to get Raw and slab. I spent around $200 for all the coins and another $130 for slabbing so total came to $330. With the straight graded coins you are looking at $435 in value and the details coins maybe $100. I'm still ahead, but if take the time value of money (and that I will lose about 10% on ebay sales), it doesn't make a lot of sense. I'll post pictures when the coins get home.

I checked my Flying Eagle and IHC album, I'll crack out the 1860 and 1880 as they are nicer than what is in there now. The Flying Eagle, I'm keeping slabbed, I like Flying Eagle small cents. The 1883 V nickel was supposed to be a gift and I'll still give it slabbed, it looks really nice and the person I'm giving it too will appreciate that its AU and the cleaning won't bother her. If I didn't have one already I would have kept that one also. All in all not a bad way to go. The Copper/Nickel coins seem to be the ones that I am having the most issues with figuring out what's details and what's not. The 1880, I was hoping it wouldn't details, but I should have known. My grades are actually pretty accurate based on what Anacs graded

Thanks jBuck. To be honest, I wasn't totally surprised, the 1880 I was feeling it would be details. The 1857 I knew it had a scratch, but it was minimal and the coin had wear, I was expecting it to grade straight, but oh well. The 1860, I didn't see that one. Like I posted above the coins are going in the album, so they will replace coins in worse condition. But in terms of good news, the coins have been shipped. Pictures will be coming as soon as I get the slabs back. And my slabbed IHC collection got 6 more coins.

Quote: I can agree with all except for the 2019 W, I was surprised about that one If I'm thinking of the same coin, then I'd have to disagree with them as well. I figured lower MS, but AU58? I'd be curious to see that 1860, that one seemed to have the biggest jump. Thanks for posting the results!

My coins came back from Anacs. After looking at them, I can agree with a few, but the details ones I would buy again. I wouldn't get them graded but I would buy them again. I'll post pictures tomorrow it's late and the light isn't good.
