Just real quick DWH means doubles working hub, couldn't fit the full thing. I was checking out my example of this coin and I noticed some extra thickness of the date and some lettering, as well as a little bit of notching. I've looked at other examples online and they all seem to have this "doubling". I'm guessing this is a Doubled Working hub or something? Sorry I couldn't upload full coin pictures, I found to quite difficult this time. On PCGS CoinFacts you can see that all the silver proof issues of this design have some type of thickness, but some the non proof examples have skinnier lettering and numbers. A few of the non proofs have extra thickness as well. I'm guessing the original design didn't have such thick lettering. Am I on to something or am I just losing it? Any help is much appreciated.

I haven't held one in my hand to look at one but I think you may have something. The JFM is clearly doubled and as for the other devises they appear doubled as well. That may actually be what they are suppose to look like. My bet is on it being doubled.

Mine looks like that too. Looking at PCGS it looks pretty normal.

Seems like doubling but quite common doubling if so.

The only doubled die I am aware of for this coin is the doubled left foot of Neil Armstrong's reflection in Aldrin's helmet. (Yes, that's confusing.) That occurs on both the proof and the business strike. There isn't any other doubling on the DDOs. Just a couple questions based on this. Wouldn't that tend to eliminate hub doubling for these coins, unless there were multiple hubs? How many hubs would have existed to produce working dies for a combined mintage of only 400,000 coins?

I have seen the doubled foot, I unfortunately didn't have it. I have no idea as to wether hub doubling would be eliminated or not. I am very inexperienced when it comes to commemoratives.

There is some definite thickness with notching on JFM and TRUST. There also seems to be some minor notching SW on IGW.

I don't think this is master die doubling. If I found this one I would be sending it to doubleddies.com for verification.

@QuarterHoarder72, I do think you have something here. If hub/master die doubling is eliminated -- and I think it is -- then you may have snagged a new doubled die listing, and a nice one at that.

The doubled foot is what would be expected from a single-squeeze doubling, a comparatively small doubling in the dead center of the design. Yours is really interesting.
