Grade Opinion On 1881-CC - Coin Community Forum

Jaobler Pillar of the Community United States 6396 Posts	Posted 11/24/2008 2:00 pm That long cut on Miss Liberty's cheek will limit the grade, probably to MS-62. The fields look frosty rather than mirror-like, so I don't think this one will earn a DMPL or P-L designation. The 1881-CC is lot scarcer than the '82-84 dates in GSA holders. I'd keep it in the original case since that might fetch a premium if you decide to sell. Report this Post to the Staff

I wouldn't be surprised if it only graded at MS60 or 61. I also agree with the posters above who state that the GSA case will bring in a premium if you should decide to sell it.
