Poll Question
I have a error coin that I've had several so called experts give me advice on a coin that noone can seem to come to the same conclusion.

I have a 1982 quarter pressed perfectly onto a penny planchet. Ive had it tested with 1 side at 100% copper and the other with 3% Nickel assumed left over from the press! Some say its faked but it weighs out the same as a penny and its been in the family safe since it was found new through the bank.

Im looking for any help on what to do.

I've been offered anywhere from 25.00 to 150.00 so I know it needs a real expert.

Thanks so much
Frustrated
Byron McPherson

to CCF. We will need photos and weight, along with diameter measurements.

We can't form any opinion without pics and specifics.

Absolutely need pictures if we are going to give an opinion on it.
weight and measurements of the coin would be useful also, but pictures would be the best first stem to see if it's even worth going further.

While we wait for photos, have you taken the coin in to a local, reputable coin shop in the greater Redmond/Bothell/Seattle area?
