Hello everyone. I am new here. I have been collecting old coins most of my life; my grandpa got me hooked when I was a little kid.

I found this 1999 Quarter though that is unusual. It has no ridges on the edges. And the top and bottom have edges that are raised more than usual and kind of squared off instead of rounded edges.

Also, because I have been searching google for a couple months now, I see that the word "Justice" on the back side isn't as visible as "Wisdom" and "Moderation". Even "Moderation" has a less visible M, O, and D.

These are the best pictures I could get with my new cell phone.

to CCF. First off,you should not use metal tweezers on coins. Your coin looks like an early stage " dryer coin" PMD.

The most important lesson of this thread? Never hold a coin with metal tongs!

Metal tweezers are not recommended for coins!

In the future, please enlarge your images and show them right-side up, one pic of each side.

dryer coin, possible spooning. And yes, as Yoda would say, "Use metal tongs on a coin, do not. Hmmmmmm."
