Hi, I have a 1965 Nickel that is one of the shinest nickel I've ever seen, I put a 1971 nickel down next to it in order to show the difference. There's no way it could be a regular business strike, right!? Please let me know whatcha think & like always thank you in advance for your thoughts!!

to the CCF! No US coins minted in 1965, 1966 or 1967 have mint marks, due to a coin shortage caused by silver hoarding when the US went from 90% silver coins to clad. This coin does look like it hasn't seen much circulation, but it's hard to tell much more than that from these images. All three mints made a total of 136,131,380 nickels in 1965 and, without mint marks, can't be differentiated. These are just too common to have much value, unless they are almost perfect.
ANA ID: 3203813 - CONECA ID: N-5637 Clean a coin that may be worth collecting? Please DON'T! When in doubt, leave it dirty!!

Ok, here's to better pics please let me know whatcha think. It doesn't look as shiny as it is without another nickel there to show the difference but it is extremely shiney nickel especially for 1965.

Oh my gosh! That's the most beautiful Jefferson nickel I've ever seen in my life! It isn't a proof or mint set coin, if that's what your wondering. But dawn, that's one HECK of a nickel!

Looks like a normal business strike coin. Not a SMS coin. No proofs that year.

Nicely struct business strike but in the condition it's in now , I have to say MS-63 . Quote: yeah thats the prettiest 1965 nickel or any other year nickel I've ever seen! Lol Quote:Oh my gosh! That's the most beautiful Jefferson nickel I've ever seen in my life! According to these quotes , then most of my uncirculated Jefferson nickels would be MS-67-68 . No disrespect to OP .

I agree with T (above). Nice coin, no doubt. Shows light circulation wear and some minor dings. Like the toning too. I have a few hundred Jefferson nickels from the early-to-mid 60s which look much like the last two photos shown. search nickels long enough and one can assemble a decent collection of late 50s through late 70s coins at MS65 or better.
