...and pleasantly surprised!
I thought that one looked proof to me and it graded MS-68. The other one I thought looked AU-55, but it graded MS-66. Both by NGC.
Clearly, I have no clue But pleased I made the decision to send them out regardless.

Who graded the coins? Did the grading service image the coins for their web page? If so, you can give us the certification number to look up so we can see the images.
The first US coin motto was found on a 1792 half disme and read: "LIB (erty) PAR (ent) OF SCIENCE & INDUSTRY"

First set of photos:

NGC Cert #: 5859459-001
Grade: MS-66. (I still think NGC is very generous with this grade).

Not the greatest photo of the Dutch 10G... but if that's at all accurate, I concur.

Finally, the results are in. The silver Panda sold for $63 while the 10 Gulden gold coin sold for $390. Seems reasonable prices. Unfortunately, the slabbing and listing fees took a huge chunk out of the proceeds.
Moral of the Story: do not sell raw coins via fancy coin auction websites if they are worth < $1,000 each.

I don't put coins up for auction, period. It's an especially huge mistake to auction off rare, smaller-market coins. I can think of a handful of times I've won a coin at ebay via auction, and relisted the exact coin for sale on ebay and sold at significant profit.
