This weighs 4.95 grams and has a diameter of 30 millimeters, hence a bit larger than the regular cash coin.

The emperor's titles do not match anything in my Fisher's Ding, and the reverse matches nothing either. I am doubtful that it is even a coin, perhaps a fantasy or a charm, so maybe the experts can confirm.

I'm inclined to believe that you coin is Korean rather than Chinese - though struggling to find a similar one. Will continue research when time permits.

@aiglet7, thanks! I keep forgetting about Korean coins.

With that clue, I got a match!

2 Mun, K 641 (ND, 1742-52), "U" at bottom, "Chin" at right

I'd say Korea also. It's listed in the books, but perhaps the very same exact coin is not acually illustrated.
Might be found online.

@oriole - glad to have pointed you in the right direction! In the past I have used these two links to help with Korean coins:-

Thanks! Good references. Now, I just need to remember Korean when I see this style.

As the others have said, this is a 2 Mun Joseon (Korea) cash coin. This is from the Tongyeong Mint, but I think it is called the Tongyeong Naval Office in English. Coins from this mint are quite collectible and one of my favorites. They can have a decent premium over the other, more common, 2 Mun coins.
