It has been improperly cleaned (polished). I am not an expert on Wheaties, but I'd say VG details.

Agree, might make F sharpness, but evidently cleaned so the value is considerably diminished.

TippyCanoe, WADR,if you are thinking that has anything to do with being a proof coin you need to do a lot of reading up on how proof coins are minted. John1

First I don't know what WADR stands for and from the tone I'm happy about it. Second I am a novice and I've never hidden that fact. Have a great day

Not a proof coin. Old cleaning with toning coming on. May have been well-rubbed using a cloth rag (or such) at one time.

The "proof-like reflection" is not light reflecting off a proof surface, but rather off an altered (burnished or cleaned) surface.

F-12 Details cleaned and or polished . Not a proof-like appearance . We learn by our mistakes .

TippyCanoe, I like the polished LWCs, in fact I am working on a set in EF/AU, already have a 09-40 set that is all original. I know that are not worth the same as coins with original surfaces. For me it's not the value that concerns me but eye appeal in this set.
