I'll tell ya for free, yes this did straight grade, Circulated gold has a tendency to show just how soft it can be.

My first reaction (before reading other grades) was also VF30...but I have a tendency to over grade...so maybe VF25?
Nice pick up!

Two things to keep in mind about the thoughts behind this grade. One, there is a pretty decent amount of luster still remaining around the coin (not normally seen on VF coins). Two, the price difference between choice VF to choice XF is minimal and easily overcome with some decent negotiation. As a side note, I bought this as a Choice VF coin.

I didn't have a lot of confidence in my estimate, and apparently I was right!
