Why would a 2013 Kennedy half dollar be faked? I came across this eBay listing and thought this is kind of sad. I told the seller which he replied in a very colorful metaphor to mind my own business. Is this a China counterfeit?

That's a first! Reported, for what it's worth. If enough of you do the same, it will come down. Just scroll down the listing to "Report Item" on the right near the end.

I especially love the part in his hair - looks like it was done with an X-Acto knife.

Yikes. That one's less realistic looking than the gold-foil-covered milk chocolate coins. (Probably not as tasty, either.)

EDIT: The ear is interesting, too. JFK with a St. Louis Blues logo in the ear seems a bit anachronistic.

Kennedy looks like he was rolling his eyes. Like he knew this was a bad counterfeit.
