Why would a 2013 Kennedy half dollar be faked? I came across this ebay listing and thought this is kind of sad. I told the seller which he replied in a very colorful metaphor to mind my own business. Is this a China counterfeit?

That's a first! Reported, for what it's worth. If enough of you do the same, it will come down. Just scroll down the listing to "Report Item" on the right near the end.

might be like one of the millions of fake coins Chinese have been "returning" to the US in a fraudulent repayment scheme https://www.nj.com/news/2015/03/fed..._of_54m.html

I especially love the part in his hair - looks like it was done with an X-Acto knife.

Yikes. That one's less realistic looking than the gold-foil-covered milk chocolate coins. (Probably not as tasty, either.)

EDIT: The ear is interesting, too. JFK with a St. Louis Blues logo in the ear seems a bit anachronistic.

Kennedy looks like he was rolling his eyes. Like he knew this was a bad counterfeit.
