The date on this coin caught my attention. Is this some type of mint error?

I'll say a well-placed circulation hit.

I'm not sure if that tiny little linear part is displaced metal from a hit or a die crack, but the top part of the number 5 being filled in is due to a die chip.

Looks more like displaced metal as it looks to have peeled from the lower left of the 5 down to the tail of that 5

Not a mint error. Appears to be a die chip in the 5 coupled with a well placed hit. Copper is a relatively soft metal and can take on interesting shapes when hit.
