The distinct strike of this nickel caught my eye. There appears to be doubling on the front and possibly the reverse side. This would be my first time finding a double die coin, so I'm excited but also skeptical. Can anyone confirm this? Thank you in advance!
Note how all areas of the devices you are looking at are affected towards the closest rim? That is die wear. Not die doubling. On a doubled die the spread is on the centers of devices. While on this coin it looks like Machine Doubling, it's not. DDD shows on the devices in the direction of the closest rin, Machine Doubling is in a direction seen often as a single direction. I'd save this coin as an educational piece to show to a new collector as difference between the DDD vs MD. I'll be adding your images to add to my educational files.
