I was searching through my change jar and found a 2005 P Oregon quarter and what caught my attention is that there was no copper around the rim. I took it to a jeweler and he said it tested positive for silver. It looks just like a proof quarter, but it's not an S mint. Anything would be helpful.

Weight? Most likely silver plated after it left the mint.

Just FYI, in your second picture, I can see the print you left from holding the coin in the first picture. If you hold coins, especially if you think they are interesting or might have a premium, hold them on the edge. Once a print is on a coin and not cleaned off right away(properly), it will never go away.

As for your coin, Maybe coop will pop in with some pictures. They did make silver ones but they were S mint proofs. This is definitely NOT a proof, its a business strike. Is the whole edge like that? I would say plated. Ill stick to Lincolns...

5.7 is normal for a clad quarter. I think it was plated after the mint.
