Ok I have heard of all 3 Cameo, Deep Cameo, and Ultra Cameo

My question is Ultra Cameo a higher rating than DCAM, or is it the same rating as DCAM but is used by NGC?

Depends on the coin.

CAM, D CAM and U CAM are terms that relate to the quality of the strike of the coin and are unrelated to the condition of the coin, or the relative rarity of the coin, with the afore mentioned striking qualities.

The level of rating of CAM, DCAM and UCAM do not relate to condition or rarity, but to striking quality. The only exception that I can think of are PL and DMPL Morgans, struck from fresh business strike dies in high MS grades, where the devices exhibit a cameo effect. In this case condition and quality of strike do play a vital role in their valuation.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Having said all of the above, I have seen some very poorly minted UCAM silver rounds.

Yes.

Correct.

Also, NGC uses PF while PCGS uses PR.

A PCGS PR69DCAM would be an NGC PF 69 ULTRA CAMEO

yup it all makes sense.

nice discussion here, thanks for all the info.. more info then I had expected, but all good stuff to know. I buy a lot of coins and being educated on what I'm buying is an incredibly smart move.
