Yes a jeton or jetton - manufactured in Nuremburg I believe in the 16th century. Made of brass and used all across Europe.
Jeton means token, but they do not appear to have had a precise monetary value. I have heard it said that they were used more as tallies in aid of maths when totting up groceries at market.
There are numerous different designs, but the one posted is one of the most common. In that condition, very little value. (Even in great condition, that design would only make £1 or £2.)
