I'm familiar with mistakes on coins and what to look out for, and I have a penny with this slim doubling outline on Lincoln in the obverse. But since I'm fairly new to this, IDK if it's not very uncommon to see it on one in the way mine appeared.  |

That is called coin channeling. It is common on this date: http://www.error-ref.com/?s=channelingIn incuse mark on a coin is a raised area on the die. In order for a die to have a DDO on raised devices, would have to be doubled devices that are incuse on the die. |

You've posted the same coin twice now in 2 different threads asking 2 different questions and one thread you call it a 1947
You don't call that just a little bit confusing?

 This was done because of the weakening of the design on that area of the die.  During the 1960's we also see this same issue:   The new hub design on the 1969 cent solved these issues:  Note how the master hub had swollen from the original design. When the master hub was created, it fixed it for a few years. (Issue again in 1982) |

 other post showed the 43...on the 47....I agree with coop struck through debris (from what is showing/picture doesn't display the entire area) |
