so I found this and the 3 is missing ama looks like a chic top on back. What kind of error is this, and what value would it possibly fall under?

We need focused, cropped pictures of the whole coin to give you good feedback. From what I see, it's a minor grease-filled die that's obscure most of the 3. These are cool to find, but fairly common and not valuable.

The two marks on the head and the rim are coin contact from other coins in circulation. (I guess it would be hard for a coin to self inflict coin damage on itself? LOL)

Or 50 Half Cents. So why did the mint make Half Cents? Interesting answer to the reason hidden below:
Back during those days, the postage rate was one cent to send a letter. But to send a post card, the rate was 1/2 cent. So in order to give change back for the purchase one post card, they had to create a Half Cent piece. Thus the need for commerce for the Half Cent. Two Half Cents could be spent as one cent.
Hidden answer in the area between the open lines. Highlight that area to see the answer.
