You should really start your own thread instead of adding to an existing one.
It just causes confusion. Have asked a mod to move it.

Please explain what the 1974D error is. To me it is just a well worn and damaged coin.

Google shows a handful of videos on this particular year/date combination, at least one hints at a RPM with some value. No, I didn't watch the videos.

Environmentally gunked cent, probably from being buried in soil for a very long time. no mint error here, just post mint damage ( PMD). Could be a metal detector find. Still worth a cent, but only if you're up to date on your tetanus shots.
