US Mint - This video highlights a new era in the American Eagle Program—the release of redesigned American Eagle Gold and American Eagle Silver Coins in 2021. Included are reflections from Secretary of the Treasury Janet L. Yellen; Mint Director David J. Ryder; current Mint Chief Engraver Joe Menna and former Chief Engraver John Mercanti; Artistic Infusion Program Designers Jennie Norris and Emily Damstra; and artist Miley Frost.

I'm an ASE collector, but I get the impression the Mint is trying too hard to push these beautiful coins. The number of variations in the 2021 type sets are just annoying...

In light of the silver shortage, it might have been better if they made a clean break from the old design in 2020 and only issued the new reverse in 2021.

I know, it means they would have offered the two coin reverse proof set I desperately want, but at this point I am afraid that offering might get canceled anyway.
