@sdm, it is a little hard to see in these pics, but it looks like this dime was struck with a broken post on the internal section of the mintmark. That is why the letter D is all filled in.

I apologize for the previous pictures I was also wondering on the reverse some of the lettering is damaged is it striking or PMD Thanks
