Agree. The tip of the lower tail of the 3 should be further to the left than the tip of the upper tail.

Looks legit , the only thing I would question is the entire date being so bold while the rest of the obverse is fairly worn .  |

Definitely altered. The bottom part of the 3 on a genuine one is big and full.

Usually when a us coin comes from Russia it is altered. The try to scam people o lot. Try to be aware of these other countries.

Here is an image of a known fake one:  With a low number stuck that year 866,000, there should be a low number of dies that year. I think I narrowed it down to three dies:  Edited by coop

I had already submitted a report with ebay yesterday (and I did note it being from Russia as people pointed out which was my first clue). It only had 1 bid. Now its up to $44 with 10 bids. Maybe somebody who normally files reports can let ebay know so they stop this sale. Looking for a album filler 1931 S is why I am looking at these. |
