Question As To How To Best Photograph Coins

Detecto New Member United States 5 Posts	Posted 07/06/2021 4:11 pm I have a high quality camera but it does not focus to the distance that fills the entire image with a coin. How are most people posting their high quality coin images in this forum? Thank you! Report this Post to the Staff

It's possible that the minimal focusing distance of your lens is too long, and you may need to increase the distance from camera to coin, then crop the resulting photo. If that doesn't provide satisfactory pictures, you could buy a macro lens, or you could try using a phone camera (that can often get high quality photos). Report this Post to the Staff
