That is called a BIE,also known as a die chip or broken post.

Yes @noor, that is a BIE die chip plus a broken post on the letter B. A fun find, although they are quite common for cents of the 1950s.

Very nice BIE, along with the broken B post. Nice die chips. Hard to tell in the reverse photo, but there may be a die chip in the left (as viewed) wheat stalk.
