There is an RPM D/D for the 1964-D jefferson , I found one last night and have an email into variety nickels for a picture of the one they list .

05-1964-D-61 by their new numbers .

Thanks Bruce The picture does help ,, Mine seems slightly different but I think it is a die state and circulation difference but the same RPM.

I don't want to hi jack the OP's thread so I will post pictures of it in the error variety forum .

1964 nickels are extremely common and will be for a number of years to come. What's very rare in 1964 nickels are complete full step examples. They are next to impossible to find. If you do find one, you're a very lucky soul. Your likelihood of finding one in circulation would be about 1 in a million...that's 1 in a million 1964 nickels, which would be more like 1 in a billion nickels. Happy hunting!

I agree with you coppercoins. I think 64 D nickels are the poorest strikes I've seen and they don't seem to wear well eithe.
