Back when searching the 1967 small cents for doubled dies I purchased more than enough OBW rolls than what I care to admit, however, upon thoroughly searching those rolls I managed to create a full roll all containing similar grease strikes on both sides of the small cent.

Thanks to TerryT and his post regarding the 1995 25 Cent "disappearing beads" I had completely forgotten about the examples I had found on the 1967 small cents.

I did manage to find one example with the reverse showing peeling copper fragments that I thought was 2x2 worthy and was not added to the roll with the others.

The 1967 small cents that I put into a roll all looked like the photo below.

Some have around half the beads missing completely to only a quarter of the beads missing, on both sides of the small cent.

Thanks for your photos John. This it is what in metallurgical mechanics for mint we say "elastic-plastic fracture" due to the plastic deformation. I think for majority the pealling cooper or small foliation is better.

With your permission I will like to download your photo for future information or education. Thanks

Silvio

silviosi,

Feel free to download my images for personal use only, however, they must be kept out of publications, if wanting to use any of my images for publications and books, a written and signed letter from myself giving permission with the details clearly outlined would be needed and not optional, it is a must respectfully.

Thanks, no it is only for show with all copyrights on. I have no intention to publish or distribute. I find are very pointed on topic and when I have to give presentation or exponential for mint or others engineers on the field is a good example to look for trying to prevent this anomaly..

thanks again.
