. No copper plating and being oversized means it is what is called a Texas Cent. PMD.

Suggest placing your coin next to another (proper size) Memorial cent and post a couple pics of them together to judge any size difference. What would also help would be to weigh the suspect coin--an accurate weight. Thanks.

Not an error,. A typical Texas Cent.

All the 1993 cents are non copper. They are copper plated zinc coins. When these are squeezed in a vise between two pieces of leather, then they expand, the copper plating falls off the coin. Just an altered coin.
