@Skippy Topaz, if it wasn't already obvious to you, your note was cut from a BEP issued sheet.

I did know that but only because you had told me a couple of years ago when I posted my "999" on another forum that I used to be on :)

I just realized that one of my 'older' notes qualify to be a high number S/N - My 1899 silver certificate 'Black Eagle' note

Bumped another one off the list.. This 959 note jumped to the #3 spot after the 999 and 993 notes :-)

Helder: very nice notes, but,
Are those 5 dollar notes uncut? If they are uncut, why is the first 3 and last 3 the same numbers and the center 2 random?

John, yes it's a part of a master sheet of 16 notes (4 by 4 notes), the BEP also sells in 8, 16 and I believe 32.

it's not random, it's actually a difference of 250 from one note to the other 155>405>655>905.

After the notes are printed they are stacked as full sheets on top of each other so 577 is above 578 which is above 579. Hence when cut all 100 notes are in sequential order.
