Mint mark looks normal to me. And the coin looks like a LDS.

Not quite sure what you mean by misplaced.
The mm was hand punched into the die and anywhere in the triangle area below the date is acceptable.

There is what appears to be a ' Pareidolia' feature just to the SW of the legit mintmark. I do agree with a late die state character.

Note at what you are seeing is larger than a mintmark. So it is not a mintmark punching. Just the mind playing tricks on you.
