Well a few quarters later in these CWRs I came across this 2020 P Salt River Bay in pretty nice shape.

Doesn't look as strong as WDDO-001? Make images like John's images to see if they show the same spread? It might be a new die, or something else? But make images just like John's see see if we can figure it out. Make side by sides to see if the spread is the same or not?

I don't think it's a DDO.

Definitely a DDO but very likely not DDO-001. I've suspected some of the "DDO-001" I've seen posted on ebay aren't actually the same die, but they never have good enough photos to be really confident in that. Yours clearly does not have the same thickness on IN or WE. This is definitely one that's been widely misattributed.

Another cool coin Jeff. I'm a Capt in St. Pete! I look for these Washington DDOs and never find any. I'm currently on the hunt for the big one( the Mankiller). But I'm guessing that a high number of them did not make it out of the mint. Have a good one.

Willburton in the last 3 weeks I have looked at 34 full boxes. 68k quarters. Most I just quick glanced and tossed due to either rough condition, no special date or mint mark. Not knowing that the 2018 P Michigan pictured rocks had a DDO variety, but for some reason I put it under the scope and noticed it. I have found 2 2018 P Michigan's and 2 2020 P Salt River Bays and 1 American Memorial Park DDO. 107 West Point V75s 78 2019 West Points 123 S Mint Clads 2 S mint 90% Silver proofs, 1 40% silver Bicentennial 19 pre 1965 Silver quarters. The best finds came in CWRs where 50% of my W mints and proofs came from. But one West Point has evaded my grasp. The River of no Return West Point. Almost to the point of buying one off ebay. Coin roll hunting is addicting to the point I may need an intervention soon lol. Nickels, pennies and Halves too. I did dimes for dates, proofs, silver and mint marks for a little while. Found 2 1996 West Points I had graded at a MS66 and MS67. Now I just look for Silver. Found both 1996 Ws in the same box! Keep on hunting.
