That is a seriously good split 20 cent. And your serious about your hobby.
If you don't mind me asking, how long have you been at it, amassing these rare errors and varieties in top condition and large numbers?
( oh my, can't get my drooling to stop)

Thanks , I started off collecting back in the early 1980's. I was given a partial set of predecimal coins in an album as a gift. Kicked off from there. Was a bit different back then as a few of the older collectors will know. I started collecting the errors and varieties only about 20 years ago. All up this is 40 years.

The more gross the error is, the more likely it is to be your favorite.

Yes, you're probably right. But as one who is really into the almost perverse attraction to bungled mint output, sometimes I really enjoy a subtle, elegant (IMO) die crack which emerges from a pile of perfect coins. ( is that the wine talking?). I digress. The gnome has a sweet collection, and I am glad I got to see some of his gems.
