Do ya think it's worth submitting? How would y'all grade it? I hope I'm not outside any boundaries asking this, I'm new, and can take a scolding when I'm doin wrong so let me know. Thanks again

No, definitely not worth submitting in this condition, just a 90% junk silver coin.

In order to justify all costs involved in sending it in to be graded/slabbed a coin needs a retail value after slabbing of at least $100-$150.First determine the grade:https://www.PCGS.com/photograde/
then look up values:http://m.numismedia.com/rarecoinprices.htm and eBay sold values.

Agree, not worth submitting to a reputable 3rd party grading service. I'm good with VF35.

VF-35. Sending a coin in for grading and spending 50 bucks or more to do it will not increase the value of the coin

VF35 common coin. not enough value to warrant slabbing.

I'm just curious. what would prompt you to send a coin in for grading? is it because you believe the value is there in a coin to warrant the cost? is it because you see slabbed coins everywhere and think all coins should be slabbed? is it because you think slabbing a coin adds value to the coin? or is it something else?

the reason I ask is just to get some insight why folks new to the hobby think coins need to be slabbed
