I believe that is the Madrid Mint Mark, not Mexico City

Definitely a Madrid MM, not Mexico City. Also, it looks more like a 1/2 escudo than a 2 escudo.

Nice little typical grade peninsular 1/2 escudo.

This whole thread should delete itself and try again... or maybe not. Perhaps it's educational? Was this in fact just meant to see if we're paying attention?
