I have been meaning to post this 1961D cent for awhile now. I'm am hoping to get clarification to what type of die event/break is present on the reverse of this cent. I believe it is a retained interior die break. The die event is easily seen on the side of the memorial. There are die cracks also run throughout the area, easily seen in the last two memorial bays traveling downward underneath the memorial.
I would like to better understand the die cracks or die event going on underneath the memorial.

I also believe this 1961D has a RPM. I need to go back through VV to match it up to an exact number because there are 72 RPM on VV for this date.
Thanks all

@nick10, I didn't think laminate errors included die chips and movement/displacement of devices, side of and within the last two bays in the memorial.
I appreciate your feedback and opinion.

the circuitous route of the edges of the anomaly has me thinking lamination, but you have the coin in hand, which is always better for diagnosing symptoms, we'll see what others say

Looks like a lam and can't tell about an RPM without better photos.

This would be my first time running across a laminate cent error first hand. That very well may be the culprit at hand with this cent. Thanks for the feedback @Nick10 and @John1.

Thanks for the help diagnosing this cent and for the feedback all. It is a decent lamination error.
Is this worth having looked at/grading. Maybe I'll just put it into my collection as a laminate error example?
I will attempt to take some better pictures of the mint mark tomorrow.
Thanks again all

I see a delamination due to the strike, but in same time I think was combinate with others factors (need to be find). The form show us that maybe grease, or some residue come in this game.

In my mind, no lam is worth grading. I've never seen a lam that was worth more than $ 20. And that would be a good one.

@CU: I have an 67 double Lam Reverse 1956. Is one of the 120 at this moment. IMHO was ok to certify this one I have.
