Not someone's collection dump, but someone's discards. They even took out the copper pennies. I suppose that's some vindication for my own penchant towards hoarding copper pennies, but at the same time, it sucks man, to pick up someone else's discards. Spent time going through it regardless, and it was super slim pickings. Some 2021 zincoin rolls, and others hardly had any copper cents, with no Wheat cents whatsoever. I just hope someone didn't turn my neighborhood bank branch into their personal dump bank, because that would really suck. Anyway, just wanted to vent a little. But I did find a 1925-P earlier today (from a different branch), so I can't be too miffed, I guess. Anyways, tomorrow's another day. Hope your day went better than mine.
Cheers!

Hard luck!
The same thing keeps happening to me in England - I've obtained several sacks of 50p and £2 coins from the bank and found no commemorative coins at all, when by the law of averages around 10% of the coins should be commemoratives. Some people pull out even very common coins just because they have a different reverse design from normal.

Ouch! On the bright side, at least you are not the only one who loves the copper! Better luck next time.

Sounds like you are as irritated as those people who've been getting YOUR dumps the past few years. It all evens out in the end. I'd be happy just to have the opportunity to search any coin rolls at this time as my bank hasn't been able acquire enough coins for retail customers let alone a 'personal' account like mine.

@atticguy Well, the thing is that I've never actually dumped my searched discards at a bank before, because I didn't want to spend the time to roll everything back up. The most I've deposited at a bank are a couple of uncirculated boxes and some uncirculated bank rolls, but they were all clearly marked Loomis rolls, so someone wouldn't have been given these as customer wrapped. I've always taken my discards to the local Coinstar to get no-fee gift cards. Since I hunt for pennies for the most part, this doesn't swell up the gift card balance too much. But regardless, getting someone else's dump comes with the territory; it was bound to happen sooner or later.
Cheers!

Yup, this happened to me last week,20 rolls of pennies with all dates in the 90's, from 1990-1999. LoL

Stuff happens. I've been roll searching for several decades--experienced the highs and the lows. Discovered one bank branch which had become the dump for a prolific roll searcher. The person dumped so much material there that the branch rarely ordered any coins--they had enough coming in through the dumper to meet their needs. I stopped going to that branch years ago.

I searched through 30 customer rolls today and yesterday. Not a single Wheat cent, just a few Canadian cents. Copper was about average. I got these from 2 different Wells Fargo branches, about 20 miles apart, so I'm thinking they can't both be dumps, but who knows. Not a single Wheat cent.

Thanks. My bad luck continues. I hunted a circulated nickels box from US Bank tonight, and only found 7 nickels before 1960. The best ones were two 1939-P's, but those are pretty common. I stuck them inside 2x2's anyway
