Thank you, Silviosi. As Silverthorne suggested, damage can cause a type of damage that looks like doubling sometimes. That is good to know and I can keep this in mind. And Rocky, much thanks for the photos and examples. Rocky, I also see some photos that that are brilliant like yours and think the doubling that I am seeing is caused by excessive lighting. Is that possible? This issue was asked on a previous post of mine. Here is a link to one of the pictures that looked like it was doubled: http://goccf.com/t/439004

KyWahine don't say anymore on this issue ok let it go. now here is what I will tell you. put that coin in a 2x2 ASAP. I will explain later. that coin is worth money I can not tell you now why. I am working on a catalogue for Washington 1965 to 1999 . you need to put that coin some where you know where it is please do this . I will fill you in later ok. I know this does not help you . if what I am seeing on your coin is real. you may have one of those quarters. I am sorry I can not point it out right now . just hold on to that quarter. if it one you wont be sorry.

KyWahine there is a group called CONECA they are the one that support hub doubling. they recognize hub doubling as a double die I will check your images for sure. so we can prove this. for now you have a good one. studying your coin that coin might be tripled. studying Washington eye your coin might be triple died coin wow cool.

@Rocky... wow and thank you. I did as you suggested. I can't wait to hear what you find out. Thank you for mentioning CONECA. They have a wealth of info on the different classes of hub doubling that will help on my journey of telling the difference between the hub doubling and doubled dies. Are we having fun yet... YES!
