These came in a bag of rolls, 10 rolls total, they just kept coming. Thankfully I hunted twice as many non drilled ones of the same what I assume is average quality for these.

I was going to post in Numismatic Crime, but did not want to break posting rules. But it is a crime.

Judging by the dates on these coins, the crime probably occurred in the later '60s. Someone may used them to decorate hippie garb, as we see done with Chinese cash coins etc.

I doubt if it was done in the 60's. Does not look like any oxidation at all around the holes.

Yes, this almost looks fresh, I first thought they were anti coin collector with the poor placement of some of the holes, lol

I am assuming there is zero value in these and I can experiment with cleaning etc....

I had a friend that used to do that for a small added weight on a fishing line back in the 50's on the Mississippi. I'd also seen them that way for people who make wind chimes as an added sound as the touch together.
