Homage for Jon Wexler to his retirement.

In the name on myself and all the members here.

Jo, the time come for you to choice the retirement way. I am sad to know that one teacher, one mentor will not be here near to assist and guide. But I am happy to know also that you will go on the shiny and light way.

You deserve this time, your abnegation, your vision, your achievements, your straightness and self determination it is not just a model but also an inspiration.

I do not think that a trophy or premium could pay all this, but I am persuaded that the heat of our bottom hearts and souls it is the best.

In the name of all this forum I will not say thanks BUT I we say that we will try to continuous your legacy and tenacity.

So me the crazy little Italian MD, I will always be for you. All my veneration.

SiSi

PS. Hope someone can transmit this to him.

John Wexler and his website was a key part of why I became interested in die varieties in the first place so I can't be more thankful for the work he has done.

I don't think the hobby would be anywhere close to what it is today without his contributions. I think we all wish he could do more but we also all wish him a great retirement.

YES! Don't worry for a second about that, it will surely continue. Ribar will continue with nickels, and the rest of the files will be split between two new attributers. I am hoping for an official announcement from Wexler (and co.) soon.

From doubleddie.com about himself:

In 1988, even though no longer active in the hobby, I was honored by CONECA by being inducted into the CONECA Hall of Fame "for lifelong contributions to the error hobby."

And he is just now retiring.. Wow, a hat tip to you John.

Nice, Silvio!

Anyone who has been involved with varieties or coins, in general, has been affected by Mr. Wexler's teachings or someone who has learned from him. Hope he enjoys his retirement and good luck to those who will carry on his good name and ideas. God speed, Tanner, Doc and others who will be involved.

Very well said and thank you Silviosi. (I didn't know his retirement date was set.)

Congrats on your retirement Mr. Wexler. Well deserved and your unending support and influence has been a help to almost everyone that collects modern US coinage.

(You are too modest Tanman and "Doc" seems to have an unending supply of energy. I'll miss John Wexler's participation in the variety hobby but anticipate good things to continue once the torch is passed.)
