@pedro, as the M in RPM stands for "mintmark", this is not the best term to use for doubling seen on letters other than the D on this nickel. If you are seeing some doubling on CENTS with the coin in hand, can you please give us a nice close-up pic of this area? Thx.

While this gets sorted out, I'd say that Die Deterioration is in-play on the obverse--at a minimum.
