No DDO in Wexler's, Variety Vista, or CopperCoins...but interesting to a novice like me. Deteriorated die maybe? looked at it closer after seeing some thickness in the 9 & 7...thanks for your continual knowledge :-).

I've seen what you are referring to before.

Nice images but how about some closeups of LIBERTY and the date?

Probably hub doubling which is common on the 9 and 7 in 1974 cents. It is doubled, but it wasn't a single die issue.

So do you think it may have been master die doubling causing it on many dies?

I might have misspoke PP55, it may be a large date versus small date issue. I can't tell what the arrows are pointing to either without better photos.
