1993 P Kennedy Half Dollar Super Shiney

Char01 New Member United States 17 Posts	Posted 02/18/2023 12:26 am I am wondering why this half dollar is so shiney. It stands out completely from everything else. It is close to as shiney as the 2022 half dollar. Any ideas? I found it in a bank box. Report this Post to the Staff

These will also show a stronger strike on them as they are struck twice, enhancing the design. https://images.PCGS.com/CoinFacts/0...805_2200.jpg Note the fields are mirror like, the devices are frosted. They they will show that if it was a proof coin. Your coin maybe a normal Half dollar from Philadelphia. Maybe fresh from a cello? Now released in the wild. I use the term shiny sometimes too. LUSTER: In numismatics, the amount and strength of light reflected from a coin's surface or its original mint bloom. Luster is the result of light reflecting on the flow lines, whether visible or not. LUSTROUS: A term used to describe coins that still have original mint bloom.
