Tried to contact him but received no response. Dealer in later date large and Half Cents along with other numismatic items. One would think he should know better, as these are what I consider mid-level fakes. Going through the effort of attribution usually smokes these out... I have written Coin Week articles on both "families" of counterfeits. Edited by burfle23 02/20/2023 1:12 pm

If not for the fact that they all look the same in terms of color and wear, I can see why these would be very deceptive.
Surprised whomever the seller is has not responded, most honest sellers don't want that cloud of uncertainty above their heads (unless they're just in denial.)
Hopefully Bobby will see this and remove the listings.

Listings were already removed; had an odd looking 1853 half dollar as well...

It would be helpful if we knew the seller's ID so that we can be on the lookout.

By all means tell us who this is.

Hmm... These would fool me quite easily in the wild as all 5 look quite genuine to me. Is it possible that these coins all came from a small hoard and therefore high grade and similar color therefore genuine? Wonder what CarrsCoins would think?

The half is much more of an obvious fake than the copper coins.
