Found this 1987 D Lincoln Penny, but what is up with this thing? Could someone tell me your thoughts please? Would that be considered a D over D, also added materials between the E and the R in "LIBERTY" on the obverse side. Then flip it to the reverse side and the O and N on "ONE" has something going on with it, also would that be Machine Doubling one the words "UNITED" and "AMERICA". What would be the value, does anyone have close to an idea about that? Dont plan on selling but rather just curios to see if I should place it in a coin case or let it lay free in my collection box. Thanks in advance to everyone who has any information that could be verified.

Not an RPM,split copper plating. Reverse looks like DDD or plating issue not a doubled die. It is a spender.

with John1. You also have Ridge Ring from a worn die.

Lookatmyak79,
What are you using to take photos? Your pics look very soft, and the color seems off.

Agree with the assessments above. As it is, the coin is worth one cent. If you like it, keep it.

@John1 I am using the Samsung Note 10 with an app called Microscope and Magnifier. I can't getva decent zoom while still in focus when using the phones camera alone, the app helps keep focus while being able to zoom up to roughly x10. And yes sometimes I have to mess with the lighting a little in order to remain focus while still zoomed in. Once I get the extra money I've been looking into a scope for coins specifically. Just not sure what are good brands while remaining affordable. Sorry about my ignorance as I'm am learning. Just a novice here but I am trying to learn even if its slowly. Seems once I learn on thing and feel comfortable about my knowledge then a screwball seems to get tossed into the mix just to make me realize that I still don't know jack about coins and how to read them.
