So I came across this 2017D Lincoln Shield Cent, ( LSC) and was wondering how or what caused these inclusions. Are some grease strike throughs, defective Die, or something else. Also the extra ring around near the edge of the coins both Obverse and Reverse. Maybe its nothing at all. When compared to another LSC it definitely looks different than the coin on the right. Trying to learn what causes this.

I feel it's some sort of Die Deterioration but of them, looks mostly like this type. Check out the second quarter.

DDD on both sides of this coin. Not a premium, but an educational piece to show to a new collector, of what is not a doubled die.
