I'm surprised the Royal Canadian Mint never struck a coin commemorating the CFIA's 90 year tradition of banning this foul tasting spread from our shores.

Give me vegemite instead of maple syrup every day of the week.

I was going to say "give me vegemite over maple syrup" but that would be a horrible combination.

It's gone nuts! Several vendors are offering the full set of 3 coins already! The coins are not even reaching the tills so how are Woolies customers supposed to get them?

Will the Mint still release the coins to Woolies if the staff are going to pilfer them to sell on ebay for inflated prices? I am assuming that the coins for sale on ebay are being sold by Woolies staff..who else has access to them prior to release?

Who are these people who can sell coins that have not even been released yet?

Why do they get early (and apparently guaranteed) access to them?

What does this mean for future releases?

I have been noodling through a bag of $2 coins each week since these coins were released and I am not finding many. I have found more Matildas coins and even earlier releases of commemorative and junk coins. I would have expected a relatively even distribution of coins in circulation. Obviously I am wrong.
I see there are still plenty of bags of Vegemite coins on ebay. That makes me wonder if those were meant to go through Woolworth's tills but got sidetracked?
Maybe there are more Vegemite coins in circulation in other areas of Australia?
Similar thing with the Firefighter coin. Since it's release I have only found one. In the last bag of $2 coins I actually found one each of the colored $2 coins from 2015. Funny how it goes.
Anyone else finding plenty of Vegemite coins in their noodling?
