1943 liberty

*** Edited by Staff to Add Mintmark / Denomination to Title. It's very important to have in the title. ***

It's actually a 1943-S, probably mid-AU, I'd say AU-55. Definitely not high enough value to consider grading it.

@jac, is your picture of the obverse true in color? If so then this coin has been plated.

I think Zurie's advice is correct.
I also think mid AU
Better to get grade opinions here with the coin of the potential value that is pictured here,
those opinions are free, and truly third party.

Plated or not, this isn't worth more than bullion value, so not worth having graded.

Melt value is $8.29 so I disagree that it only has bullion value. In mid-AU it's probably $25 or so. I agree it's not worth grading.

Pretty nice Walker with clean fields and no major issues (can't tell luster from photos)

Not really worth grading, even if it ended up AU58 full grade it's a sub $50 coin and it's going to cost you at least $30-$40 to grade it these days. Definitely worth more than melt.

I personally tend not to submit anything for grading unless it's over $250, has something unique or superb about it (rare variety, spectacular toning), or if I think I'm going to sell it for at least that much and getting it graded will maximize profit.

Worth a bit more than melt in my eyes. Probably AU-55.

obv photo cannot be used for grading. reverse is looks mid AU i'd call it AU55

two reasons to slab

1. its a rare coin that needs authentication and protection
2. the coins value is at least $150 and you are planning to sell it.

other than that, dont waste your $$
