@jac, yes please tell us what has caught your eye. I see that the rim is slightly wider in one area than the other. Depending on what the obverse looks like, this might coin might be struck slightly off center or else struck with a slightly mis-aligned die.

It is customary to post full, large and sharp pics of the obverse and reverse, then a closer-in image or two of the feature(s) in question. With the single image posted above, I'm seeing a common, circulated '09 quarter.

The pillar has no texture at all whats it supposed to be? A light tower or a roman pillar?

Can't be an artist error, if it that way, then the artist WANTED it that way..

Ah, ok, you were typing at the same time as me.. the pillar - is that what it is? I may have to go see that the reverse is 'supposed to look like on a coin that is not so worn down.

Dear put the design me I will put my MS-67 PCGS to compare. I have no knowledge at this point of some varieties for this coin.
Photo took over the slab. Maybe a litle bit blurry but forgot to put oil.
