In, My opinion in 2021 The U S Mint dropped the " Burnished " Ball. Collectors were Being driven to See and Obtain the New Type 2 ASE's.
All the Usual Products were NOT Minted, as Many of us came to see. We expected the Type 1, as The Original Designed coin to be Available as a Uncirculated Version, As Every Year they have done so. Careful what You come to Expect......
But No, The Hype was directed at the Type 2, Allowing the Lesser, Minted Historically ASE, to be Cast aside, Not Nice , " Absentees " in Our Collections. I do Not believe this was done to Hurt collectors, I just believe the New Design had shown Expecting Promise, for the Mint's Revenue. Strictly Business !!!! I Did'nt Ask
